Le Voyage en Panier is a company on a human scale located in Provence a few kilometers from Avignon, the city of the Popes. The history of Le Voyage en Panier begins in 1981. Its founder, in his many travels, is fascinated by the creations of the artisans who handle the weave with dexterity and savoir-faire following the tradition of their countries. He decides to promote his work by creating a collection of baskets produced with plant materials and various natural substances. In 2010, Dominique Friedman took over the reins of the company Le Voyage en Panier. The challenge of combining creativity and exceptional craftsmanship that fosters a strategy of value is self-imposed. Today the challenge has been won: the baskets continue to be made with rice straw, raffia, dwarf palm, sea reeds, perfectly satisfying the trends of prêt-à-porter and the desires of modern women. In its strategy to promote the artisans of the world, Le Voyage en Panier has put into practice another ancestral knowledge: the art of crochet. Bags, wallets and hats complete the 2018 collection. All the models proposed by Le Voyage en Panier derive from an artisanal production that gives them a unique character.
